I am Theresa Brown, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) working toward my specialty in play therapy.

I am passionate about helping individuals and families find healing through reflection, growth, and learning from life experiences. I believe every season of life offers opportunities for growth when we feel supported and understood. I specialize in supporting clients navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and family systems/origins issues.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher in preschool, kindergarten, and third grade, giving me firsthand insight into child development, social-emotional growth, and the unique needs of children at different stages. I enjoy integrating attachment and developmental theory into my work with children, adolescents, adults, and families.

I work with children and families with diverse identities and experiences and value including caregivers and family systems in therapy. My approach promotes inclusion, belonging, and acceptance, while honoring each client’s individuality and pace.
