Neuroscience of Play Therapy Retreat 2027

Connected Minds, Connected Hearts

The Neuroscience of Relationships, Resilience, and the Power of Play

May 2027 • Lake Junaluska, North Carolina

Connected Minds, Connected Hearts is an immersive, in-person play therapy and mental health continuing education retreat for therapists and helping professionals, held in the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

This one-of-a-kind retreat brings together neuroscience, attachment, play therapy, Polyvagal Theory, expressive arts, sand tray, trauma-informed care, and relationship-based healing to explore how connection shapes the brain and creates pathways for resilience and transformation.

Together, we will explore how relationships shape the developing brain, how safe connection and co-regulation support the nervous system, and how play can foster healing, growth, resilience, and meaningful change across the lifespan.
